KOGI LAB / LEGAL

PRIVACY POLICY.

Short version: your 3D models stay in your browser, we keep only what an account needs, and we never sell your data.

LAST UPDATED / 23 OCTOBER 2026

Who we are

KOGI LAB (kogilab.com) is run by Evaldas Korkiska, K. Semenaviciaus g. 2-17, LT-10251 Vilnius, Lithuania, Individual activity (individuali veikla), registration code 908299. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@kogilab.com.

Your 3D models stay with you

The editor works inside your browser. Models you open, your paint and your projects are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. The editor may keep your last session in your browser's storage so you can continue later; you can clear it in your browser settings.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address. If you sign in with Google, also your name, profile picture and Google account ID, as shared by Google.
  • Sign-in: a session cookie and a record of the session (a one-way fingerprint of the cookie, the time and your browser type). For email sign-in, a record of the one-time link we sent (your email and the time).
  • Exports: each 3MF download (date, file name of the model, number of filaments, and which allowance it used). Each exported file contains a short export code that links it to your account.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, payment status and a Stripe customer reference, never your full card details.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form (name, email, topic and message) and our answers.
  • Editor usage: which features you use on the site and in the editor, for example the file type and size of a model you open, the patterns and tools you pick, downloads and checkouts, with your country and device type. Before you sign in these are linked only to a random code for your browser tab; after you sign in, also to your account. We use them to improve KOGI LAB.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider processes your IP address and request details to deliver the site and keep it secure. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without building profiles.

Why we use it

  • To provide your account, sign you in and count your exports (performance of our contract with you).
  • To prevent abuse, such as mass sign-ups for free exports, and to trace files that are shared against our terms (our legitimate interest in protecting the service).
  • To understand how the editor is used and make it better (our legitimate interest in improving the service).
  • To keep invoices and payment records where the law requires it (legal obligation).

We do not sell your data, show ads or use it to train AI models.

Who processes it for us

  • Cloudflare: hosting, database, email sending and analytics.
  • Google: sign-in, only if you choose "Continue with Google".
  • Stripe: payments.

Some of these providers process data outside the EU. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

How long we keep it

  • Account data and export history: until you delete your account.
  • Sessions: up to 30 days. Sign-in link records: up to 30 days.
  • Editor usage records: up to 13 months.
  • Contact messages: up to 24 months after the conversation ends, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Payment and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Cookies and storage

We use only what the site needs to work: the kl_session cookie keeps you signed in, and short-lived cookies protect Google sign-in. The editor uses your browser's local storage for your last session, and its session storage for the random usage code, which is deleted when you close the tab. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. You can delete your account yourself: in the editor, open your account, then Settings, then Delete account. For anything else write to hello@kogilab.com. You may also complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt) or the authority in your country.

Children

KOGI LAB is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell account holders by email about important changes.
